      A Prayerful Decree and Rally in Support of Honoring the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., Exclusively on His Federal Holiday and—  No Longer Sharing the Day with Robert E. Lee in Arkansas Romans 10:13-15  13  For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved. 14  How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher? 15  And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things! GIVE US THIS DAY: MLK Holiday Exclusive 2016—  Beyond Apathy NAACP, Governor Hutchinson, National Prayer Leaders, Pastors and Community Organizations Gather to Pray and Proceed— From 'Proclamation to Legislation' during the AR Spring 2016 Special Legislative Session ~God has Spoken, the NAACP has Spoken and so has the Governor of Arkansas~ April 3, 2016 | Arkansas State Capitol | 2:30pm-3:30pm—  Before the Franklin Graham and the National Day of Prayer Rally convenes in the next 2 and 3 weeks, Arkansas prayer leaders have some serious prayer work to do.  A Prayer Rally Advocating and advancing the MLK Holiday Exclusive Celebration lead by AR NAACP Leaders and embraced by Governor Asa Hutchinson will take place on Sunday, April 3 rd from 2:30pm-3pm at the Arkansas State Capitol.   The rally motions Arkansas to move up and join the nation in celebrating the MLK Holiday as an “exclusive” day of honor and thereby relegating the Robert E. Lee Day to another day.

Speakers at MLK events call for King-only holiday Background: In June of 2015¸ the Arkansas State NAACP initiated a conversation with Governor Asa Hutchinson and his regarding the separation of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Holiday that is celebrated on the same day as that of the Robert E. Lee Holiday.   Please read the article that appears in Wednesday's, March 30th Arkansas Democrat Gazette entitled  Black caucus set on viewing a bill to end King-Lee  joint holiday. http://m.arkansasonline.com/news/2016/mar/29/black-caucus-delays-vote-ending-king-lee-day-arkan/ This is an official  NAACP Call to Action  for there to be a Vote in the Arkansas Special Session to remove Robert E. Lee Day from Rev.
